Our pads are manufactured from clear elastomeric polyurethane.
They are ultra tough and can normally be used several times.
The clarity of the material allows you to accurately position the frog support, particularly when dealing with laminitis.
Basically they redistribute the load to the place where evolution provided the horses “natural” shock absorber.... THE FROG.
Supports the bony column via the frog and digital cushion.
Best used in conjunction with P3 support system to prevent ingression of debris and provide total support.
Provides extra grip with the “chevron” style moulded frog support. Used in conjunction with P3 instead of mesh these pads
allow you to retain the grip of the shoe section and keep the overall finished shoeing lighter whilst still providing total support.

This view shows how the Chevron profiled gripping frog support transfers load from the wall to the frog.
The 3 different sizes, small, medium and large, each have
different depths of section on the frog support section.
The small pad is 6mm, medium is 8mm, large is 10mm.
This is so that the frog support actually bears load on the ground.
If you use an 8mm section shoe on a large foot that
requires the large pad, then you should rasp or linish the frog support down from 10mm to the same depth as the shoe, so as not to exert excessive load on that area.

Our wedge frog support pads are moulded from the same high quality material as our flat pads.
Highly shock absorbent and WILL NOT compress during the shoeing period.
So for those of you with the opinion that pads contribute to premature shoe loss.

High quality polyurethane £5500/tonne.
These are not the cheapest option but remember you get what you pay for.
3 degree integrally moulded frog support allows you to correct the HPA of horses that cannot grow enough heel to allow you to dress the foot normally.
Frog support unloads the heels to promote better heel growth.
The non abrasive nature of the material prevents the heels from being rubbed away by constant flexion upon a shoe.
Ideal for collapsed under run heels, and for unloading DDFT in horses suffering from Navicular Syndrome.
